Join me on the Jason Williams Campaign for Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction
Hello Corps Members and fellow Alums,
My name is Jonathan Moore and I was a 2007 Corps Member. Having taught in Phoenix, I know you too are aware of the challenges our students face inside and out of the classroom.
Jason Williams, a former Executive Director of our region, is campaigning for Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction. Jason's campaign represents the opportunity for Corps Members and our students to teach and achieve like no other region in the country. While this is an exciting opportunity, Jason needs our support. Below are just a few ways for us to help Jason secure the future of our children:
1. Email jonathan@williamsforarizona.com with your Name, Phone Number, and Email Address if you would like to volunteer to help spread Jason's Campaign to other Corps Members and Alums.
2. Visit www.williamsforarizona.com
There you can learn about Jason's vision for Education in Arizona as well as campaign events and even how to volunteer.
3. Contribute to Jason's campaign through his $10 for 10 initiative.
By visiting www.williamsforarizona.com you can see the various ways for you make any size contribution.
4. Create an account on LEE (Leadership for Education Equity) at
www.educationalequity.org. There you can leave comments and messages for Jason as well as receive current updates about the campaign.
Please join me in supporting Jason! The region where we gave so much in an effort to increase our student's achievement is on the cusp of an exciting opportunity for change in education.
Sincerely,
Jonathan
Should school districts be required to report students' immigration status?
Saying they want to determine the costs of educating illegal immigrants, an Arizona Senate panel voted Wednesday to require public schools to ask parents to provide documents showing their children are in the U.S. legally.
Read about the bill and its possible repercussions
I'm interested in hearing what others think about what sort of an impact this bill could have on education for our Arizona students...
