1st Hearing: Parent Trigger Bill - HB1539
Location: 201 West Capitol Avenue Jefferson City, Missouri 65101
3) Parent Trigger Bill: HB1539 (For a school chronically failing, allows for parents (when majority of the parents of the school agree) to petition for school turn around or conversion).
1st Hearing: Wednesday, February 15th at 8:00 am.
Where: Jefferson City State Capitol Building
Call to Action: Ask friends and family to come to Jefferson City to provide testimony in support of the Parent Trigger Bill. Adam and I will coordinate with witnesses to assist with testimony writing, transportation and lodging.

Organizing and Advocacy - Parts 1 and 2
Location: San Antonio Public Library Foundation, 625 Shook Avenue San Antonio, TX 78212
On Saturday, February 18, Mandara Meyers, Managing Director of Leadership Trainings and Initiatives for Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) will run a two-part leadership training for LEE members right here in San Antonio.
The first half of the day (9am-12pm) is for members who have not attended any previous LEE trainings and will be an opportunity to reflect on and share your experiences and motivation for teaching and leadership, as well as identify issues you are passionate about addressing.
For the second half of the day (12pm-4pm), we will be joined by LEE members who attended a similar training in September, and reflect together on your common experiences and challenges and the opportunity to exercise your leadership in even greater ways by identifying solutions and taking action to positively impact the community in San Antonio.
